This is long and rambling, but hopefully useful

I think Molly should be aware of the passage of time and be much more mature than her age. And the period of adjustment should be hella bad.

Everything would be all kind of twisted up in her head. She was fully alert and aware during her coma, but her concept of time and reality is kind of skewed. Ooh, of you can pull it off, maybe prolonged contact with Maury left some sort of "imprint" of his power. She's not psychic per se, just hyper aware of the thoughts and emotions around her. Not enough to pick up on anything concrete, but just enough to make her even more unstable. That's her on "bad days." The rest of the time, she'd be very, very quiet (in a way that I can see freaking Elle the fuck out) and mature and very serious. Occasionally angry and frustrated with herself for not snapping back fast enough, for not being able to be the old Molly that everyone desperately wants her to be.

I'd imagine Matt and Mohinder have kind of built her up in their head. For all of them she's sort of a symbol of the resistance. A total innocent, pure and good and true, the sleeping princess they've saved from the Nightmare Man. But, how to deal with an awake princess who screams her head off every night and can't quite tell real from fantasy?

Further complicating things would be guilt on Matt's part. He *wants* to hold Molly's hand. He wants to have time to devote himself 24/7 to caring for her, but he can't with all of these people depending on him.

He knows for the sake of the rest of the group he must send Molly away someplace safe-she's a liability to everyone if she stays, but that's like the last nail in the coffin for him in the path to full fledged cold blooded bastard, no better than Bennet territory (he respected Noah, no question of that, but he doesn't want to *be* Noah) So in short, you'd have resistance leader Matt battling with caring cop Matt as he is shamefully a bit impatient with how long and difficult her recovery is going to be.

Toss in some conflict with Mohinder who is in total denial about Molly's condition and is convinced with hugs and cookies and everyone visualizing sunshine and kittens she'll be fine. Or a Professor!Mohinder who keeps acting like she's his newest science fair project, asking all kinds of questions and wanting to do tons of test on her. Thinking that recounting in excruciating detail all she's lived through over and over is the way to help her.

That is all kinds of fantastic and useful :D

I hadn't even thought of how Mohinder and Matt's peceptions of her would have skewed and become exagerated over the time period. But you're right, they totally would. Especially as Matt's actual time with her in this timeline was pretty brief and hardly in 'normal' cicumstances.

That gives me loads to think about and go at. Thanks so much! <3
