1) Castle season 2, hurrah! Only two episodes in but still fun. The introduction for morons with each character saying their own name 12 times is going to get very old, very quickly. On the other hand at least you KNOW the character's name unlike...

2) Downton Abbey, where after two viewings I still can't work out the names of 90% of the characters. Otherwise though I loved the first episode. It took me awhile to work out quite why I enjoyed it so much but I realised: it's a panto! There are evvvvil bad guys plotting, nasty older sisters overshadowing decent and kind younger sisters, and good-hearted rogues. There aren't any panto dames but I think it's made up for by the fact that evvvvil!Footman Thomas was both blackmailing and shagging evvvvvil!Duke. They're both evvvil so I can't help hoping their evvil selves make a go of it :P Unlike two of the characters who were making out on a kitchen floor in...

3) Dexter. Urgh. I guess some people needed to see the whole waah waaah splashing about in misery thing but I didn't. I also didn't need to see the last gasp of turning the controlling harridan into St Rita. Also, I appreciate circumstances are unavoidable but they really need a new wig for Michael C Hall. That thing looks dreadful.But on the plus side...

4) I'm quite enjoying 'True Blood' although as with Covert Affairs I like the secondary and tertiary characters far more than the primary characters.
