Nostalgia

The site hosting fanfic for my previous fandom is shutting down - not soon but certainly eventually - and it's making me feel a little nostalgic for the first fandom I ever wrote in. So just for the memories here are the first boys I ever wrote about.

*I can't find their actual kiss on youtube any more. This makes me sad :(

Awww! So sad to see the end of something. :( I know it will break my heart a little too when/if the Matt/Mo pages close, even if I'm not still writing them at the time. *hugs*

Yeah, it's so weird to think it was so long ago. It was 4 or 5 years I was writing it which is a pretty big chunk of time.

Wooooow. Yeah, that is a long time. It's always odd to look back on an old passion and view it with fondness and affection but not quite the intense burning that used to be there. I guess it's sort of a hopeful thing though, that the feeling is capable of being renewed again and again. <3

Makes me think that Heroes is the first Fandom I've ever really been in so I know I'll be crushed when/if it goes away or becomes inactive D: *hugs Matt/Mo*

On a side note, NICE ASS!! I've never heard of "The Bill" *is curious*

Some of them sort of wander on forever. I know 'Beautiful Thing' it still going. I hate the thought of Matt/Mo vanishing :(

'The Bill' is a TV cop show, it's been running since the 80's. In 2001 they introduced their First! Openly! Gay! Character! (they've had lots since then) and in 2002 they had he and a junior character sort of have a fling. It was rather fork in eye with how horrible the younger character was to the older one (apparently sexual identity confusion means it's okay to be a bastard?) and had a lame and unhappy ending. Of course that just inspired people to write their own endings :)

Scott Neal (the one with the nice ass!) was also in 'Beautiful Thing' a really sweet and positive film about schoolboys falling in love.

The shower scene is a great first scene to have together. What a way to say 'hello' Mmmmmmmm *imagining Moho and Matt in that scene* :P

Urgh, eventually Luke (the one in the shower) got married despite snogging and later sleeping with Craig. Lots of tooing and froing, then Craig got beaten up and slunk off the show. Luke had a truly miserable time, especially when he was outed, tried to get a gunman to shoot him, and left. Lame!

OR it would be Adam (he would have a cute little perky ass :P ) and Matt and Mohinder would walk in and gawk XD

Yeah, there don't seem to be any comms on LJ and I don't fancy the pit. I might create an archive comm and put mine in there. I wouldn't like to lose them, especially stuff like Blue Skies and Inquisitor's List.
