I think that the reason their giving Samuel flashbacks is that thier building him up to be Syler's replacement as the big bad wolf. Meaning hopefully they'll be killing Syler's boring ass off soon.

I really hope it is a sign they're killing off Sylar and soon. Samuel I'm not interested in or impressed with. His plans are nonsensical and unclear, I don't get any sense of motivation from him let alone any menance. Arthur was quite scary, Adam had a straightforward - and horrific - plan, and Maury was both scary and had a weight of interesting emotional baggage. Samuel has none of that, at least so far as I can see. PAH :P

I was thrilled to find a Virgin Megastore in LA last year as they've all closed down here :(
