I'm starting Shakespeare this week and I just opened my copy of Henry V at random. First line to hit my eye:

'KATHERINE I cannot tell wat is dat'


Wat is dat? Is it supposed to say that or did I buy the Ali G version by mistake? :S

Have you done Shakespeare before? If you enjoy it, you should REALLY love Othello. [I think it's my favourite but sometimes I'm partial to Hamlet too =p] You should really enjoy the whole course.

No, not really. I've listed to an audio play of Othello with a commentary as I find the language hard to follow. I really enjoyed that and I'm looking foward to studying it. Henry V I'm not feeling much love for at the minute.

The problem for people usually is the language it's true but once you get the hang of that, you realize Shakespeare actually used really straightforward terms...and he's potty-mouthed too =P Lol!

Henry's whole series is a LOT harder. Perhaps [of all I've done] the hardest.
