I said "no" to finding the tags useful, only because I tend to look through your index and find what I'm looking for there. So, they might be useful, I just never get as far as looking at them.
I don't know if you use series tags, but I find them quite useful, as well as links between all the chapters - ie. chapter 1 has a link at the bottom to chapter two etc so I can read through the whole toxic 'verse without needing to keep referencing back to your index.
Something really simple that might make your index more readable is if you numbered or put a bullet point next to each. (I think bd7's done this with hers? I'm not sure, I saw it somewhere and really liked it) I find that makes it easier for the eye when skimming down the list.
I said I don't use your indexes because I've only used them about 3 times EVER. That said for someone, like me, who will not touch any of the popular 'cests,' pairing tags are ALWAYS going to be helpful.
I'm looking at it now and yes, bullet points would help (that's < li >) and so would making all the titles the links - at the moment the multipart ones have a plain title and links to the parts so that the page has a uniform look.
Something else that might help the look of your lists themselves would be to add enough line breaks at the beginning to force the first line of text to start below your user pic?
