Is the spoiler you speak of the one about the finale where Matt goes darker and more evil than Syler?

Matt's coming back next week according to the episode description and promo. I'm guessing that Matt in purging Syler's powers winds up with them himself either by accident or by design.

When Peter aquired them in Villians they nearly consumed him. I could see something similar happening with Matt.

You could make the argument that Syler was equally stupid for trusting Matt in the first place. It serves him right for Matt to put his mind in a blender and hit puree.

It's possible whatever he does do to Syler it changes him, contaminates him with Syler's evil. Or unleashes that dark part of himself he's kept in check. Kind of like a genie in a bottle.
