Why is it that something I posted months ago was not 'too large' but as soon as I add 6 words now it is??? Damn you!

Did you maybe 'rich text' it...? That tends to add ten pounds (like the tv)

Yeah but it was rich text to begin with so :S Why do they always make these things so confusing? Bah.

Um yes... that's what I was getting at - if you post anything rich text it makes things unnecessarily large with 'invisible' coding, the same way as googledocs does weird shit to word counts.

Yeah I know but it fit fine origingally. I can't change it now anyway - changing from rich to html or vice versa always strips out all the formatting. :(

you can, it takes time
go to edit in html, copy/paste that into a word doc
then do the find and replace for all the unnecessary coding

the same thing happened to me, i had to recode all my fic :(
