Writer's Block: Critical mass

Badly, very, very badly! I take it very personally and it doesn't inspire me to change, just to be really pissed off with the person critising me. One of the reason I never ask for con-crit, I can't take it and I'm not going to pretend I can.

I'm far more critical of myself than others.

Sister: What's up with you?
Me: I have a really bad cold, I feel crappy.
Sister: Oh

Later
Sister: Aww, what's up? 
Me: Nothing
Sister: No, honestly what's wrong? You'll feel better for talking about it.
Me: Nothing's wrong, I just have a cold.

Later
Brother-in-law: What's up?
Me: Nothing, I'm just snotty
Brother-in-law: Why don't you get something for it?
Me: :holds up bag containing decongestant and nasal spray:
Brother-in-law: Are you jetlagged?
Me: No, just sick
Brother-in-law: Aww, must be tired

I'm not tired, I'm not jetlagged, and I'm not upset. I'm just full of a damn cold and feeling crappy because of it. ARGH!
