Help please?

I'm writing a Matt & HRG 'buddy comedy' for the Valentine's Matt-a-thon (not Matt/HRG)  and I'm drawing a bit of a blank. I'd like to send up the cliche's a bit but all I can think of is the 'odd couple' thing of mismatched partners.

Can anyone suggest anything? It's supposed to be cracky and fun :)

It didn't, I guess. But I think knowledge for its own sake is perfectly valid and learning is always a positive. I am back at school, sort of, studying with the OU. Definitely worth doing :)
