Why does my fic keep running away?

I'm just wondering what it says about me that my stories wander off and do their own thing. Aren't I supposed to be leading rather than following? 

First it was the Elle/Matt (which still bizarrely works for me even though it totally shouldn't) and now my Peter/Matt, hurt/comfort from the kink meme. It's supposed to be straight forward porn-y fun and instead Peter is being all creepy and borderline stalkery on me. It's not necessarily bad I just don't know where it's coming from :S  

Very, very odd.

It's under 'half-written' because I couldn't get it straight in my head.

It was supposed to be 'Matt/Sylar - sharing a Company Cell' but I got sidetracked with Elle/Matt which was somehow far more interesting. I'd written one Elle/Matt sex scene and was getting carried with a whole plot line for them. Of course it didn't help that I just could not get Matt/Sylar to work at all.

Damn runaway fic.

I shouldn't want it as badly as I do. If I'd had the cajones to do it, that's the direction I would have taken 'Fairy Tale' in. All kinds of naughty/effed up father figure freakishness.

I can totally imagine Elle being amused or intrigued by Matt 'You can make people do what you want? Kinky!' and our boy completely playing her.

Or some disturbing mutually dependent relationship with Elle zapping him/dominating and Matt getting off on it.

You know I was really expecting 'Fairy Tale' to go that way so I'm kind of glad you didn't. Does that make sense? You didn't take the expected route and I liked that.

I have trouble balancing Elle between the hard headed murderer and the childish girl torturing people because she doesn't know how else to interract with them.

I think they could work in a fantastically screwed up way.

I am oddly relieved that I wasn't the only one who saw the potential.

But in the end I decided to keep Matt/Mohinder's love pure and uncorrupted. You know, besides the whole mind control aspect...

Fingers crossed the two have scenes together next season. Can't wait to see what Matt's reaction would be to 'Personal Bubble? What Personal Bubble?' Elle.

But I refuse to get my hopes up. After all, those kinds of wildy amusing inappropriate hijinks would only take time away from the Maya/Mohinder Epic Romance of We're Both in Love With the Same Serial Killer!

The mind control bit reminded me in a good way of 'The Fleeting Value of happiness' by Out There. Is it wrong that I really like mind control fic?

Oh heh, that's an image. I suspect poor Matt hasn't had his fair share of young women mauling him and won't know what to do with himself.

And if loving mind control is wrong, well then I'll never know it b/c my all powerful overlords don't let me think about it, do they?

I am DESPERATE for Elle/Matt interaction. I don't care if it's them scheming/being reluctant allies, Elle toruturing him, or just the two of them drinkin' slurpees and snarking on how uptight Bennet is.

But I'd really, really love the last one...I'm such a freak. I am terrible when it comes to huge!epic!myth arc. I am a crack whore for the little character moments. For example, I'd do illegal in fourteen states things to Kring for Nathan and Matt to have a scene where they just hang out making fun of each other.

And then have sex.
